| Credo sia stato certificato da queste persone che la foto sia autentica. |

Gerard Tappa wrote that "it is impossible to say in a definitively solid way that Boudet is the man on the picture, also in presence of three witnesses: Mr.Georges Delmas, Mr.Victor Martineu and Mme Marie Viven." _________________ Mariano Tomatis Antoniono |

I'm sorry... I didn't notice I was in the English language section...
I did look at the Cahier de RLC 10 and the photo was there in black n' white... Looking at the other known photograph of Abbe' Boudet, the nose looks similar to that of the man in this picture. However, I can somewhat agree with Gerard Tappa that it doesn't fully convince me as being authentic.
After-all, what document in this whole RLC affair can be taken as granted to being authentic just because someone says it...?

No, you was not in the english section. In fact Mariano "beamed" you down there later.
In this matter any "authentification" is doubtful per se. We all have seen so much fakes, that the question, if a picture is authentificated and under what circumstances one might has seen the necessity of such is always interesting.
Actually one can't see much of the face as per the deep shadow.
His "cap" looks quite different, than the caps Sauniere used to wear. This one looks more like an english priest cap, doesn't it?

This might seem off-topic, but Noel Corbu used to dress up somewhat like that...
(I am not saying that it was Noel, they don't look anything alike! ) |

For example: This is the literally Father Browne
We remember, that Corbu intended to attract some thousands of englishmen to stay in his hotel.

The cap of abbe Gelis has been discribed precisely and it looked similar to Don Camillos cap.
But maybe, the priests were allowed to wear two different styles of caps... who knows. |
